This blog is made to show everybody that Fireworks is the best layout and prototyping tool for the web. 0

We think that Adobe is too much “into print” and doesn’t understand the real needs of a web designer – Fireworks is always overlooked and not well promoted and communicated by Adobe.

Instead of adding new layout and prototyping features to Fireworks they put more interactivity features to InDesign. That’s a totally different kind of target group. Users of InDesign want to do print!!!

The same with Photoshop:
Adobe wants Photoshop users to use Photoshop when creating layouts for the web. Have you ever used Photoshop for creating a layout for a print magazine though? No? Why not? Because InDesign is the right tool for this job and you will break your neck using Photoshop for print layouts. So why do Photoshop users create layouts for the web with Photoshop? With Fireworks you do the same in less than half the time and even more precisely. And you will be also breaking your neck when it comes to make changes for a whole site in Photoshop without having a master page, styles and layer passing!

We can’t understand why there are so many books about “Photoshop for the Web” out there. People using Photoshop for web layouts don’t have a clue! They have a lot of time and money to waste.

Hey guys, it is a different type of media and every media needs its own specialized software!!!
If you want to serve different media, you have to grow your knowledge and skills; you have to learn about different software. You can’t use Photoshop for everything unless you have time, money and nerves to waste.

Fireworks is a specialized web/screen layout tool, as InDesign is a layout tool specialized for print magazines.

As a user of Adobe software you will very easily become acquainted to Fireworks. The learn curve is very fast and you will see how much faster and more efficient your work will be.

The same applies to developers not being well familiar to Photoshop. They also could more easily create layouts, prototypes and graphic changes with Fireworks.

We have seen a lot of people and web agencies using PS for web. Certainly it works, but in comparison to Fireworks they need more than double the time to create precise layouts. After showing them how to use Fireworks for the same tasks in half the time they all switched to Fireworks and are now very happy to know the big differences.

If Adobe would show people these great advantages of using Fireworks for web layouts, surely more people would give Fireworks a try.

If Adobe would have promote Fireworks properly in order for people getting known to it, articles and books like “Photoshop for the Web” would never have been written!!!

The competition is on!
If any professional out there may think he works faster and more efficiently with any other tool than Fireworks in regards of screen layouts and prototyping, we will proof him or her wrong!!!
